I wanted to capture a moment of tension frozen in time, the instant a rainforest frog stretches its tongue toward a fragile blue butterfly. This entire scene is crafted from chocolate, from the textured skin of the frog to the delicate wings of the butterfly.
Balancing realism and storytelling was the real challenge here: creating movement, contrast, and life using a medium that is, by nature, rigid and unforgiving.
