The Americans are going up against the mighty Japanese fleet also known as the Kidō Butai. On this day, Best and his SBD Dauntless will take part in the sinking of 2 of the 4 Japanese carriers lost in the battle. The Akagi went down as a result of Best's accurate bomb drop and his was one of four bombs that saw the end of the Hiryū.
