Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of Subaru Impreza 2024

The Subaru Impreza is a partner model to Crosstrek and their structure is practically identical. Euro NCAP compared both vehicles to verify that the Subaru Crosstrek results could be applied to the Impreza and performed additional tests where necessary. The footage includes the Subaru Crosstrek 2024 video and additional Impreza 2024 tests.

Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
▶ a frontal impact test where 50% of the width of the car strikes an oncoming deformable barrier, travelling at 50 km/h
▶ a frontal impact test where the car impacts a full-width rigid barrier
▶ a side impact test where a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door
▶ a pole test where the car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole
▶ a whiplash test performed on a sled.

A series of pedestrian tests are also conducted with different impactors: adult and child head and lower and upper leg forms. As well as AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests. In 2023 a test scenario for Cyclist Dooring Prevention was introduced.

Active safety is rated based on the performance of the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking car-to-car and car-to-motorcycle scenarios, occupant status monitoring (including seatbelt reminders, fatigue, distraction, and impairment), lane support, and speed assistance technologies.
