Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of Deepal S07 2024

Update December 2025: The Occupant Status Monitoring system of the Deepal S07 has been updated since it was originally tested in 2024. Detection of driver distraction can now be turned off permanently. Accordingly, that part of the system no longer meets Euro NCAP's requirements and the score for Safety Assist is reduced.

Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
▶ a frontal impact test where 50% of the width of the car strikes an oncoming deformable barrier, travelling at 50 km/h
▶ a frontal impact test where the car impacts a full-width rigid barrier
▶ a side impact test where a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door
▶ a pole test where the car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole and the robustness of the centre airbag is evaluated
▶ a whiplash test performed on a sled.

A series of pedestrian tests are also conducted with different impactors: adult and child head form, and lower and upper leg form. As well as AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests. In 2023, a test scenario for Cyclist Dooring Prevention was introduced.

Active safety is rated based on the performance of the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking car-to-car and car-to-motorcycle scenarios, occupant status monitoring (including seatbelt reminders, fatigue, distraction, and impairment), lane support, and speed assistance technologies.
