Modzitzer Kumzitz in Boro Park, Sukkot 2025 - חול המועד סוכות - מודז'יץ

The Modzitz Chol HaMoed Sukkos kumzitz for 5786 featured many lesser-known gems of the Modzitz canon. Rabbi Dovid Bick, who hosted the event, designed and led the singing at the beautiful simchas beis hashoeva. He was joined by Rabbi Mordechai Steinwurzel, whose singing and deep knowledge of Modzitzer nigunim uplifted the crowd. In addition, the kumzitz was bolstered by the musical contributions of Rabbi Chaim Yankev Bick, clarinetist R’ Meir Appel, and guitarist Dr. Gordon Dale. As always, pianist R' Dov Lenchevsky was the musical anchor of the event. His skillful playing and ability to harmonize complex nigunim with speed and accuracy was an invaluable component of the evening. The crowd left energized, inspired, and excited to regather on Pesach for the next kumzitz.
