תיאור
Ancient mariners of the sea, green turtles have roamed Earth’s oceans for over 100 million years, but today, they are endangered. Oman’s Ras Al Jinz hosts one of the world’s largest nesting sites, where thousands of females battle the odds to lay their eggs. Under cover of darkness, they dig nests, hiding their young from Arabian foxes and ghost crabs. After 60 days, hatchlings make a perilous dash to the sea, where only one in a thousand will survive to adulthood. Beneath the waves, these graceful giants glide through coral reefs, vital to the delicate balance of marine ecosystems.
