PARSHAS Noach , the laws of Murder are updated and enhanced
The laws of murder are repeated and changed (in the Torah) 3 times:
1) To Adam killing animals was murder also (and there’s a question about eating meat of animals that ahd already died back then).
2) To Koach killing animals and eating meat was allowed but new stipulations were introduced, beginning with not being cruel to animals.
3) To Moshe, where the laws of prosecuting a murder (may) have changed.
Here there are five points!!! You can kill animals and eat their meat, however…
A. You cannot eat limbs (that were discarded from the animals in whatever way) of a living animal; this includes the prohibition (to non-Jews also) against eating the blood of a living animal.
B. Suicide (with or without spilling one’s own blood) is murder.
C. There is consequence for killing by ‘accident’ (negligence) and Hashem holds people accountable.
D. One who murders another human being with intent must be put to death.
E. Choosing (consciously) not to procreate is opn some level (like) murder!!
