In this holy discourse, Maran Hirsch explains the essence of "Korban" (sacrifice) – from the animal offerings brought by the holy forefathers (a bull by Abraham, a ram by Isaac, two goats by Jacob) to the personal self-sacrifice of every Jew: body, soul, and spirit, for the sake of Torah.

He calls upon every Jew, especially those outside Israel, to offer themselves as a "Tamid Korban" (continuous offering) for the flourishing of Torah in Eretz Yisrael.
