Restoring Mat Armstrong's BMW E24 635 CSI! WARNING LOTS OF RUST! - Part 1

We Went down to Leicester to meet up with Mat Armstrong and to pick up his BMW E24 635 CSI so we can sort out all of the rust repairs. After getting it on the trailer and ferrying it to YCR HQ, we saw the horror which awaited us. This rust has eaten away at most of the drivers side chassis rail which now it held together by the undercoating.

We Started by investigating the extent of the rust with a specific set of tools, safe to say we don't have a shortage of tool storage space with this car! Not only is the chassis rail rusted through, but the sills, rear quarters and floor pan is too! The outer panels on the bodywork are also very rusty and botched up with fiberglass and filler. Safe to say there is a lot of man hours in this one and certainly a lot of metal to replace!

We don't back down from a challenge though and will have this sorted for Mat without an issue.
