Emergency Stop Driving Lesson.

Emergency stop in a driving test in the UK are tested one in three. So if there are 6 learners in a test there will only be 2 tested on emergency stop.

In the beginning of the practical UK driving test the examiner will say you might do the exercise of emergency stop, which means you might or might not.

If the examiner decides you to do the UK emergency stop then they don't just tell you to do without any warning. If they want to test you on emergency stop then they will first stop you somewhere safe and tell you that - now you will have to do the emergency stop. So then you will move off from the parking position and drive as normal until the examiner says STOP at which point you STOP the vehicle as if you are stopping to save someone.

When you stop the vehicle in an emergency stop make sure to keep both hands on the steering wheel until the car stops fully, and then put the handbrake on and wait until the examiner ask you to drive on. When they do then prepare the car to move off, look all round and check both blind-spots and if safe move off. No signal needed.
