In this episode, I’m finally completing one of the most challenging and most requested parts of my off-grid stone cabin — the outdoor kitchen area. After finishing the wooden terrace in the previous video, today I’m building everything around the fireplace:- a solid oak outdoor counter,- a bar designed from old reclaimed oak,- custom support beams shaped by hand,-and the final detailing around the stone-and-brick grill, now dressed in aged oak for a warm, rustic look.
Every piece of wood is processed by hand — burned to bring out the grain, brushed with a wire wheel, and finished with natural oils for long-lasting protection. This project quietly transforms the space into a real forest outdoor kitchen — a place for cooking, gathering, slow living, and future moments filmed here at the stone house. It's one of my favorite diy projects, blending traditional techniques with practical design for a fully equipped backyard kitchen where I can prepare delicious meals and enjoy the wilderness.
Lajka is still recovering from knee surgery, so she rests beside me while I work. She’s strong, healing fast, and can’t wait to run through the forest again.
