T Junction - at the end of the road emerging Left and Right from a minor road into a major road.
How do we know there’s the end of the road coming up? We know by the building, fence, trees, walls, bushes, etc. at the end of the road.
Next we must recognise the Give way Line and Stop Live:
Give way Line means Give way to all Traffic on the main road, unless you have the space to go.
Stop Line means you must stop behind the stop line regardless. It’s illegal not to stop at a stop line.
On a Give way Line there are two types of Junctions. One is Open junction and the other is Closed Junction. Closed Junction is where you can’t see who’s coming from the left and right early on because of obstruction covering the view; the likes of building, walls, fences, etc. Whereas Open Junction is where you can see both sides because there are no obstruction on both sides of the road. The view is clear to see if the road is clear from early on.
T Junction must be approached by the routine of MSPSL, which is Mirrors, Signal, Position, Speed and Look. One must use this MSPSL routine and assess and analyse the Junction and decide whether the junction has a Give way Line or a Stop Line and whether if it is an open or closed junction, then decide how to approach the junction.
